This is one funky auction. I wonder how the buyer will react once he discovers the other 46 coins are all common date wheaties... I will give this seller credit though...I've never seen an auction of 'unsearched' anything in which the buyer knows at least of three of the coins just by looking by the ends of the roll. http://cgi.ebay.com/Wheat-Penny-Roll-1876-Seated-Lib-Dime-1851-1-US-GOLD-/260805638298?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item3cb93a389a#ht_500wt_1156
I wonder if the person who rolled these coins was blind..........gold coin and a token in the same roll??????
I can't think of any reason a person would ever roll coins in the gimmicky way you see all these eBay rolls if they weren't planning to sell them on eBay. Normal people don't just sit down and say "I'll take 48 wheat pennies and put a Barber dime on both ends and roll it up." How can we honestly think these are unsearched?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there going to be mad exchage of ions making a mess of things? Especially in a humid area? I would imagine you would have like a ship wreck hunk of history if given enough time?
