I picked this up recently cause I liked the bust of Artemis & I havent bought a greek since Feb., this is only my third greek in my collection. Macedon, Amphipolis. 187-168/7 BC O: Draped bust of Artemis right, bow and quiver on shoulder. R: Artemis Tauropolos riding right on bull, veil billowing out behind her. 21mm 9.5g
That is a fact. I average about half a dozen tries before I get a photo I can live with when there is a dark and polished patina.
Greek bronzes are a whole other world. This is the stuff where good references, and good memory come in. I have a pile that I haven't been able to track down, but to be fair only try sporadically.
