1810 Capped Bust Half (U Grade It)

    Here is the 1810 CBH which I recently purchased. What grade would you assign it if you were a grader at the grading company. I'd say it's a VF-20 with no worries. What about you? BTW, this makes the 1815 the only dater I need now to complete the set. It'll be awhile before I find one of those ;)

    I could go with F15 because of the off-center & weak strike, but I don't think it would make VF.

    I would have to say F 15 also.

    You guys are right, the rim is very weak. My initial VF-20 opinion was slanted cause the coin was mine :) The detail elsewhere on the coin says 20 plus, but unfortunately the wear on the rim is what counts... Oh well.

    VF20 - Shield, feathers, hair detail....I've seen both PCGS & NGC give coins that were not this good a VF 20 without blinking an eye
