Can you find the "catch" in this eBay ad? http://cgi.ebay.com/100-PEACE-SILVE...39?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item19c6a8e6f3
Looks to me like it shows on teh right side under history that he has sold 59. I doubt with 750 feedback and almost 100 % that they are fake
BINGO!! :hail: I wonder how eBay gives "Top Seller" status to a seller that obviously sells fakes? Over $2500 worth of "silver" for a BIN price of $399? Where are the eBay police?
He sells fakes to people who in turn sell fakes to collectors who don't know the difference. Do you seriously believe a person living in Hong Kong has access to thousands of authentic peace dollars for sale in large lots? Guy
I have never been to hong kong so I can not speak intelligently on the ability of a hong kongian to access silver coins. I can say that the purchasing power parity between the United States of America and Hong Kong is almost identical.
they could very well be fake.. but I just dont get how he can sucker in 60 people to buy them.. lol. I guess the saying ifit is too good to be true then it probably is holds true here
61 people since the 24th. If you check the feedback you will see it is all for cheap items $1 to $2. The fake feedback has not hit yet. I am sure most of it is coming to the US and it will take a while for the negatives to pop up. The seller is making out like a bandit.
we live very near hong kong and china (about 1 1/2 hours flight away from hong kong) and therefore a lot of people here have bought coins from hong kong and china. That being said, there already is a general rule here among dealers and collectors when it comes to chinese coins. That rule is "never buy coins from china or hong kong". I personally would rather go to singapore to buy silver coins even if the price is higher simply because i can be assured that the stuff they sell are real silver or gold.
I seen that on Ebay! Personally I avoid any US coin sold from Hong Kong! Seems Like a Rip-off to me!!! Chinese trying to flood are market w/ Fakes!!!!Personal opinion!!
Well if you look at his feedback you'll see it's all about a buck each they spent. Now he puts up auctions for $400 each and sell's 100 or more... He'll take his $40,000 and run. Run to the next ebay account he can set up and ruin to take mad money and leave.
Things like this make me sick. So many honest collectors just trying to have fun and some knucklehead has to ruin it for alot of people.
Location: China, Hong Kong If this is like similar auctions I've seen, you can Google the text, and it'll point you to the original eBay auction (from a reputable seller, at a reasonable price) from which this auction was copied.
