I just received this in the mail today to go along with all of my other Iberian coins and artifacts. Not sure what it would have been for but looks to be a fish witch was a very common symbol on Iberian coins and it has a bunch of Iberian letters on it. What do you all think it was for? AE, Fish with Iberian letters 3 3/4" long , 8.96 grams. And to keep it on topic here is one of my Iberian coins with some Iberian letters from Castulo
Nice bronze fish, not one I am familiar with though. Spain, Castulo Mid 2nd century B.C. Æ Heavy Unit O: Diademed male head right. R Sphinx right, left forepaw raised; star to right. 36.36g 34mm ACIP 2126; SNG BM Spain 1298
Oh, I like that fish! The lettering almost looks similar to Scandinavian runes. The patina really sets it off. I wonder what it says.
There's this: https://omniglot.com/writing/celtiberian.htm and this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paleohispanic_scripts For the Castulo coin, I get "Ka-S-Te-L-O". With the fish I get "Ka-N-I-Ko-E-Te-U". ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
