this may seem crazy but has anyone got one of these coins they would like to trade, i can't find it anywhere, for such a common coin it is proving elusive.

It seems as if there are always these common coins that are, in fact, elusive! I for one cannot find, for love nor money, a 1981 UK 10p in Unc! Nowhere has one! I used to have about 3 of them I plucked from change, but these were stolen back in 1992, and by that time, the smaller 10p had taken its place. So, now I need an Unc 1981 10p - not the proof, the Unc! If I see a Gib 5p 2003 I'll let you know ...
Let me think! Have any 1981 10p? If not, maybe some 2011 decimals? I have to say it was weird when I visited last autumn seeing the occasional new coin in change ... didn't see many new 50p coins, though. Let me think on that ...
how about olympic 50 Ps i think i have a spare one, or a burns £2 i definitely know i have one of those spare.
No prob! I'll keep an eye on the auction. Bidding is currently at $0.99 plus S&H. I think I might go for the Rabbie Burns £2 ... I don't have one of those. I did get a lightly circulated Brunel one last Nov in change. Talking of which, did you ever come across a Kew Gardens 50p in change? According to the RM site, only 10k of them were released into circulation!
no the kew gardens 50 is perhaps the rarest standard circulation coin in the UK luckily i bought the carded coin from the mint.will send you the best burns coin, i found 3 of them in one day last week (it was in scotland)
If, any time, you happen to see a 1981 10p available, could you let me know? It's pretty much the only Unc decimal I have left to get prior to 1995.
