I bought this complete Franklin Mint Antique Car Series for 5 bucks. I got the complete 1 and 2 series along with the Bronze set you get after you get the first Aluminum set. Still has registration card in the book.

Never heard of them, since those really aren't coins (and due to the fact that I don't buy from the Franklin Mint.) I'd say you did fine, though.

At $5 I'm pretty sure you can make a profit if you want, lol.

If you enjoy the coins/medals; then you did good. Especially for $5 you really can't lose.

Like Louie said...if you like them then $5 is a great deal for your happyness.

This is the great point. Think about it, $5 will not even buy half a movie ticket. Even if you just looked them over for an hour, and they evaporated, I think it would have been a good deal. As it is, I am sure you have already gotten more than $5 worth of pleasure from them, you can continue to get pleasure any time you want for free, and at some point in the future you or your family will generate a cash return.

To me, anything below $10 on a numismatic item is a no brainer if you like it, since I baseline my pleasure versus things like a movie ticket.

Lol, yeah. One time I thought what I could have bought instead of my divorce, but it was way too depressing. I actually calculated I could have bought an entire Large Cent date set in VF, or 20,000 ounces of silver, (back then). :(
