I have had this '09 VDB for a while now and I have had different people look at it and have gotten varying opinions on its grade and value. I was wanting to see what you all have to think. I would appreciate any feedback, thanks.

I'd say XF/AU details, net F/VF. It is scratched and corroded. It might be worth $10, but I will be you would have trouble selling it.

He's a rather handsome one but as mentioned he's pretty beat up and has some corrosion setting in. The reverse pic is a little blurry to confirm a grade off of but off that obverse pic I'll say you've got a technical mid-AU but with a few problems going on which will negatively impact the market grade.

The wheat stalks are almost perfect with no wear at all, but yes the obverse does have some minor scratching and I don't believe it was properly protected before I got a hold of it. I would like to get one in better condition.

AU50 details, worth around $10-$12. But it's still a first year of the 100+ years series and a one year only type coin, so it will always be in demand, even in the present condition.

V.D.B.s' have values starting at a Bid of around $10 but good luck getting that. Dealers have whined to me they have "rolls" of them!

I'm not too concerned about that, I'm not looking to sell it. I am more concerned about the grade. I would make a horrible dealer because I wouldn't want to let certain coins go.

I get some of those same feelings, myself, about many of my coins. One thing about this VDB, Greg, it was no loafer, it worked hard in the economy. :smile
