Just in case you ever stayed up nights wondering what a Lincoln cent looks like after it's been run over by a train, I invite you to peruse this specimen from my younger adolescent years (hey, now I'm a full grown adolescent :)). I grade this VF (Very Flat).

Not that I know anything about VF lincolns.....ahem...but yours was run over by a relatively short and light train ;)

Somewhere I have one run over by a mile long freight train and stretched the coin out to almost 3 inches.

    Fun Pict

Sweet! Any chance of a pic of that 3" coin?

Will work on it.....first need to find the box that holds it....which is in one of 3 states...doh!

Um, Lawdog, sounds to me like you just have a higher grade coin...probably an EF (Extremely Flat).
