Metal Detecting - advice for a beginner

    I wish you luck, by the way, I lost an Indian head penny in your area, if you find it there is a 5 dollar reward, you can tell it is mine because mine had the date 1877 on it.

    Lucy, great idea about Boblo! I will research it. Last I heard it was bought privately. Also, my dad gave me a list of 20 parks and their crossroads that no longer exist. I am going to check out google earth and see if any of them do not have a subdivision on them now.

    Hey Greg..keep an eye out for these signs :) This one's at Mackinaw City you can see the bridge in the background. It's just outside the fort.

    In my experience old churches can provide the best hunting areas. Just be sure to ask permission first. Spend a day at your local library doing some research. You should be looking for places like old fairgrounds, Athletic fields, parks, old houses, ect. Remember always get permission to hunt, and leave the area hunted in the same or better condition than you found it.
