1944 uk penny error or not

    Hi yes it is easy to say error .I have a nice collection of south Africa errors but have no idea of uk error coins .i will post a few of my error coins for you to see.

    Nice errors, the 44 penny looks like it has been whizzed...

    I would say the 1944 penny has either been soaked in acid, or it was struck on a rolled thin planchet. The weakness of the high point details and the poor formation of the rim would make me lean toward the rolled thin planchet explaination. In any case it does appear to have also been cleaned.
