I only got two coins at the Baltimore Whatman show last Friday. Both are good, but one's a REAL goodie. Another IHC for my set: Only one left to go for this set:
Very nice Dave. I especially like the Half Cent, but they were always my favorite U.S. series to collect. Which Half Cent do you still need to complete your set? bruce
nice coins. looks like you could do with some soft where that crops pics in the round. the one i use is great its called photoscape
I use the Red Book listings to define my sets. In this case I need an 1809 "o inside 0" Had what I thought was a great one but came back in a "Details" slab. I can fix the "noise" around the crop but it would take time. I'd have to visit each white pixel and fill it with black. I've done it in the past but at this point I don't feel the effort is worth it.
with photo scape you dont have to do it like that you can just crop the pic around the coin. plus its free soft ware. im just a perfectionist thats all.
I use MS Photo Editor for the circular crop. I use Paint Shop Pro for the background fill. Don't know why it won't get those las few pixels, but ... I'll play with it later and see how much of a difference it makes.
Wow, very nice coins. I love the half cent, very nice series. I wouldn't mind picking one up some time. Congrats on being one step closer to a finished set. So does that mean there's only one more you need now?
Yep. Based on the Red Book listing of Classic Head half cents, I'm only one coin from finishing. Need an 1809 "o inside 0".
Like the IHC and though I know nothing about half cents, your new one sure looks undergraded -- you have been carefully and methodically adding to a nice collection. Keep it up and thanks for sharing.
