1999 Nickel with jagged crack across scalp/skull error or damage?

    I received this coin as change from a vending machine. Is it damaged or is it an error coin? I don't have a good camera so I scanned the front and back and then did a negative effect on the front to see if anything extra would show up. Any info is appreciated.

    The extra metal from the ripple gouges seems to ride on top of the surface. Sorry, appears to be damage.

    More than likely counting machine or rolling machine damage

    It looks like this has been done intentionally by someone . maybe they were trying to make a Hobo nickel. It sure has a evil look .

    agree it's pmd but the letters T S are plainly visible to the left of the head... like maybe the back of another nickle was stuck to this one's front. the T and S look like the word 'cents' on the reverse.
