I have attached pictures of two zar(South African)coins:1892 5 Shilling(Crown) Single Shaft1894 pennyThe 1892 has a rim nick and the 1894 a nick on Paul Krugers shoulder.I plan to send the Crown to NCS to remove the small black grime spots before grading.Do you think these coins will grade? If so care to give a guess? Many Thanks

With the rim ding and scratches I doubt the 5 shillings would grade. The penny probably would, but I suspect it would not be worth the grading fees in that condition.

Who cares if they grade or not, those are great coins and I would love to have them in my collection. But with a mintage of only 14,000 for the 5 shillings and 182,000 for the penny it would be good to get them put in some sort of protective holder. And at least the TPG could authenticate them.
