I have in my possesion about 20 of these. They are certainly metal, and they were almost certainly used as currency. Where they are from is a mystery. The metals are a bit different too from my initial observations. Some seem like silver, while some seem like brass. And others some seem like copper. They might all be the same metal but just wore differently. It seems that they are cast by hand as they are all individually different. Something I'd see out of a museum. The closest I've seem to these are ancient Indian coins. They are about 4 inches in length and about an inch wide. And about the thickness of 3 quarters.

Does anyone know what these are worth? Anyone see these before? Even just a pointing in the right direction for info on them would be nice. Thanks in advance!

... They almost look like girl's hair barrettes. Although, I am fairly sure that is not what they are. It is possible that they are some type elongated coins (rolled through a machine and stamped with a design). But once again, the design would most likely be incuse. These designs look to be elevated off of the surfaces.

    Hello Michael,
I have bought similar ones this year from a Moradok shop in Thailand. The antique owner claims it was used to buy land. 1 would have had the equivalent of 10.000 m².
    Best Regards,
    Petra
