Starting Small

    I’ve been getting my feet wet with ancient coins. So, here’s my second. I was looking for something Greek but just fell in love with this one. Cilicia, 4th century BC, Obol.

    Nice way to start HC,
    You realize that these were minted only 100-200 years after the first coins came onto the scene.I never get used to how beautiful and innovative the artwork is on these early pieces.Just look at the character on the reverse..amazing!

    Nice! I got a coin from about that time too, around 328BC, but mine's not as good.
