Very nice coin. Im just gonna shoot a guess here not seeing it in person but I would grade this Morgan MS62. I believe it would grade MS63/64 if it was not for the large marks in the primary focal area's. I do not believe this coin was cleaned, I believe it to be in it's full original state. Consider the breast feather details on the eagle as they are very sharp.

 

I would have to agree, it has that nice original luster that's just not indicative of a cleaned or altered coin.

 

Agreed. Looks like honest wear. But with the included hairlines in the obverse fields along with the worn hair details on the bust, I think it is more likely to grade an AU58. On a good day, it may make it into a lower-end MS slab.

I'm not into grades, so I wont give a shoot here. But definitively the coin doesn't look cleaned.

 

I agree with the "not cleaned" opinion.
It appears to have hourglass reflectivity and "life", i.e., it hasn't been over dipped, if dipped at all.

I also think it's AU.
Just too many small random scratches all over which don't look like bagmarks to rate MS.

 

Agree with the AU58.

 

AU and I see no obvious signs of cleaning.

 

I am in the AU camp dipped probably but not what is called improerly cleaned.
