I'm nowhere near 1k halves, I'm at probably... 500 or so? I've sold 400 40%ers, so...

I think California might give the entire northeast area a run for its money. Halves don't exist and NO bank will order halves. I hear "No Exceptions" frequently, and the tellers get pretty rude about it sometimes.

 

i am pretty new to this.. just picked up 150 in halves and 50 in dimes and found nothing..

talked the bank manager into ordering me a box so we will see how that goes..

Final Tally $120 CWR Halves

Here's the final on the $120 in halves I picked up on Friday at lunch break.
30 - 40%
1 - 1964 Kennedy - My First 90%

I picked up the other $226.50 they had today on my break and I think they will be just as good. $225 was rolled in CWR's and $1.50 loose. Out of the $1.50 loose there was my second 1964 - 90% and a 1968 - 40%. Have not looked at the rolled yet. I'll make another post for those when I'm done going through them.

Box of dimes, ANOTHER skunk. Getting real tired of this...

7 silvers in my last 9 boxes, 6 skunk boxes. Bye bye, TD dimes.

 

Welcome to my world, lol. That is about my average. All time I have 15 silvers in 20 dime boxes...

I got a bag of dimes today, my luck has been a little better with those.....I'll report later.

Well I got skunked today in halves. Picked up my box I usually grab on Fridays today. It was a skunk. Been lucky lately though. Stopped at 2 banks in Tennessee this past weekend while I was there but only scored about $10 loose clad. One of the tellers was checking dates before he gave them to me. I wanted tell him to go **** himself...haha.

Got halves coming everyday this week. Will post throughout.

 

Hopefully you have just as much luck with that 2nd batch - no reason to think you wouldn't

 

Merc - I've pulled 8 out of my last 4 boxes of Dimes from TD. It is really strange!

 

Finished the last $360 of my 3 boxes of halves from last week tonight. I have 1 - 1964 Kennedy out of 3 boxes to show for it. At least it wasn't 3 skunks. That is my 5th 90%er and 4th in the last week. So, I'm still pretty happy! I got 4 boxes coming on Friday from two different banks. Most likely will only get 2 of them this Friday. I'll probably not be able to do any hunting the next 3 days as I'll be busier than a one armed paper hanger on my business trip.

 

Doesn't count as a roll search. But I traded a few autographed sports cards I had from when I was a kid to one of my friends for a bunch of foreign coins and 1 40% silver half.

 

Always good to come out with something instead of a bunch of skunks. As far as halves go Ace, let's you and me become the next Erin & Bob on these forums. I'd take either or...as though both have found a boatload of silver....haha. I got 4 boxes coming this week, one every day. I gotta open another dump bank....and soon!!!

 

You guys need to respect your elders and send a few royalies to those that helped clear the way. )

It's been awhile since I've posted. I've Been crazy busy with work and the family but, I had to post about my find last week.

I picked up my weekly four boxes and on the first box I hit the following

4-1964 and 102 40%ers

My best find to date!

The other three boxes produced a total of 2 40%ers. I'd love to find the rest of the collection that was in the one box. It was solid from beginning to end!
