I believe fair use only applies if the original source is properly given credit so in this case, we have plagiarism. Ribbit
That's retarded... who holds the copywrite on that phrase?! I'm going to make a bunch of signs and post them around my neighborhood for spite.
Many thanks to all of you for replying to my post. This is the first time I've ever used one of these forums if thats the right name for it. I had lost my password and only found by accident the button to reset it which I've just done. So hontonai my apologies for upsetting you with my slight memory lapse regarding my password. I have used a magnifying glass to see if I can make out the writing and on the front under the character my mother suggested was Johnny Appleseed I can clearly make out the letters "CONSEBER" though I am unsure what is written either before or after it. There appears to be writing around the rim of both sides of the coin and I am going to use a stronger magnifying glass when I find one. I have what I'm pretty sure is the date. I was wrong in the year. The date appears up on the rear Judging by the lack of follow up, he/she is probably one of those who expect forum members to email them instead of posting replies. Those folks virtually never come back to read the responses they weren't looking for in the first place.

I was wrong in the year. The date appears on the rear of the coin/token up on either side of the tower part of the building. On the left is "17" this I'm pretty sure of and on the right seems to be "95 or 96". I've just seen the button that will allow me to include images so I'll include two. Again many thanks to all who have replied. Hopefully this information will help discover it origin. God bless and Go gently.
