1953 P Double Die

    100_2792.jpg 100_2791.jpg This one look odd so i took a closer look under better magnification, looks like some slight doubling on the da 100_2795.jpg te, liberty and top Banner, Here are just quick pics, i will try to get better ones.     Not so much a double die as it is broadstruck slightly.

    Broadstruck??? Really?? I see no evidence whatsoever that this coin was struck outside the collar. What do you see that makes you think this coin is broadstruck?

    maybe it was struck from worn dies

    I suspect die deterioration myself. No double die.

    The date looks like what they call the mirror effect.it's when a coin looks doubled but it's just the angle or lighting but use a tooth pick and see if it's up lifted but if it is I still think it's a die deterioration. Still a good coin though.
