1986 Quarter - Strange Mark

    Just got in to coin collecting and am new here. Who knows I many error coins I let slip through my hands before I started collecting! Ugh. :) Anyway, is this strange mark near the "9" any type of real error? If so, what type? It doesn't look like anything in the beginner guide I have.

    Hello and welcome to cointalk! looks kinda like a tooth mark to me.... making it pmd (post mint damage). it is indented, correct?

    Yes, no error here. I've seen these indentations before. They are nothing significant. Just average PMD. :(

    Thanks for all the help guys. Yes, definitely indented. Guess I'll have to keep hunting. I used to hate getting change now I like it! Ha.

    Wait I just noticed something in the second picture look at the letter T in liberty. Cud maybe??
