What is the grade of this 1909 v.d.b ???

    63RB? Not sure just how they would treat those spots.

    I've had a few that had spots similar and if your coin is full original red except for the spots, then it would likely grade MS62RD... if it's more of a red-brown color then it would likely grade MS62RB. Hard to tell the color from the photos. Either way, not worth paying for certification unless you want to protect the coin for sentimental reasons.

    I am going out on a limb since i have seen a lot of VDBs like that on TT and will take an educated guess of a 64-65RB

    Spots I hate to see them but copper will spot bad.but this one not real bad.

    With my own PCGS 65RB in hand for comparison, I think several others above are correct - 63RB
