My autographed $2 Minneapolis Star has a serial number of I01954772✩— Here is a $100 Star I recently received.
My eyes have been getting bigger and bigger as I've scrolled through these posts. Some of the combinations are phenomenal! This one just amazes me, though -- how was it even possible to acquire this set?
It seems as if the BEP offers these type of fancy serial sets all the time. Does anyone know if they go up in value at all?
Stars Here are a few of mine that I scanned yesterday to put on eBay. I hope I am not violating, but the are not even posted yet if that makes a difference.
Varies tremendously. Some of them sell out in hours and maintain secondary-market prices far above the issue price. Others never seem to be in much demand at all (this one is limited to 2000 sets, but it's been available from the BEP for how many years now?). It's difficult to judge what the next one will do....
Simply amazing notes guys! Very impressive items you all have in your collections. I can always find things to aspire to put in my own collection. Thanks for sharing that Series 1985 STL FRN Steve!
Not really worth scanning, but I thought I'd at least mention having plucked a circulated star note from change last week: Series 2006 $1 New York FRN SN: B 0426 8099 *
Wow is all I can even think of here on this thread. I just got an education on star notes. Just simply blown away. JAF
Robert Azpiazu's guide lists these as the 5th rarest Star notes for $1 FRN's from 1963 through current. Finding one example was a thrill, but then finding a second GEM example was amazing.
