Wow :thumb:Wow!!!! & Very rare in that grade 4 sure!!! Can anyone post what the populations is of any grade or date IHC/$2.50 Planchet any TPG???:kewl:
My favorite when I was a young boy collecting was the 1937-D Buffalo Nickel. Now as a grown man, I prefer the 2001 Silver Buffalo set and the current $ 50 Gold Buffalo Proofs.
Believe it or not, the best coin of all time is the 2011 Vicksburg quarter. It took a long time and a lot of tries, but the Mint has finally nailed it.
I don't have the exact info handy, but I believe there are 4-6 IHCs on $2.5 gold planchets known. The coin posted above is the highest graded at MS65, and I think I've seen an MS64, MS62 and an AU58. Here's a link to the last one that sold on Heritage... they did a pretty decent write up in the auction description I think: http://coins.ha.com/c/item.zx?saleNo=1136&lotNo=2433 I also remember reading about a single example of a Lincoln Wheat cent struck on a $2.5 gold planchet, but I've never seen a pic of it.
