    :)

To the OP -- the images don't show the mintmark very well. Is the doubling present there, too?

Normal nickel. I deal with varieties ALL the time and don't see anything out of the ordinary on your coin based on the pics. If anybody thinks that $35.00 is the value of this coin, well then maybe I should go back and review everything that I have learned in my near decade experience. SPEND THE COIN.

Now do you understand, Tim Harry? Member's new inputs resemble mine, do they not? I do not like when I am underestimated. You seem to just believe, due to my age, that I am not a reliable source of answers for someone with numismatic related questions (although I am sure there ARE others on this site who's knowledge far surpasses mine). I understand you weren't trying to offend me personally, but I'm sorry to say that you stated that a tad too late. ;)

    Tim,

I don't mean this as a dig towards you, your pictures are really bad and I doubt anyone could tell if there is MD or DDO with the quality of the pictures. I see something going on near "IN" but the focus and lighting conditions are so bad I cannot make out what I see. If you want opinions beyond what you have been given, we would need better pictures. You also need to remember that you are going to get varying opinions regardless of how good your photography is. If you disagree with the opinion the best aumunition is showing a better illustration of what you are trying to share.

Grading any coin with poor pictures is not possibile and anyone giving an opinion is doing the best they can with what they have. Their knowledge or experience should not be judged based on a grade with a picture that does not accurately represent the coin in hand that a TPG had the opportunity to study in the best possible way.

This is a place to learn and share for all ages and levels. Nobody should take offense or judge others here as we all can learn from each other regardless of our experience.

BTW: Even if your coin is a DDO, I doubt you would get much of a premium for it in the grade it appears to be in (with the little detail that is clear.) I enjoy collecting nickels and wouldn't give you anywhere near $35 for a 1964 DDO in that condition. Here is a graded and verified War Nickel from a reputible TPG in much better condition still at $22. JMO http://cgi.ebay.com/1943P-DOUBLED-D...15?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item2c5d020407
