Can anyone tell me if this 1936 is any type of mint error or just a damaged coin?

Also, what do you think about this 1913 S Type 2? Look acid dated?

    The '36 is damaged.

The 13-S has been acid treated. i.e damaged. It is still worth several dollars. Heritage sells them for about $50, but they have been certified (ANACS).

Hey rims, what's the acid for anyway?

Acid is used to bring out the date in dateless coins (most used in buffalo nickels). It eats away the weaker metal around the date.

I have quite a few dateless buffs. but have never cleaned, dipped, or whizzed. I did find a wheatie in the yard last week that I forgot to take outta my jeans, discovered it was a 21 after the wife washed it, haven't louped for the MM yet. I did buy a toned kennedy of of E-bay that looked altered compared to my NGC toned kennedy. Man I wish my microscope camera would get here so I can start posting pics of my babies.
