This guy named the coin doctor is guying out bad price quotes. For instance, he prices a merc for LESS then a dollar! And he says wheat pennies are only worth one cent. Heres the website: http://www.coinsite.com/default.htm. Horror!
Maybe the site has not been updated and the prices are old. Maybe the prices listed are what he'll pay for those coins. Notice that $20 Libertys and St Gaudens list at $1250 to $1325 circ and $1350 to $1650 uncirc.
Just another website and from what I saw it just gave generic prices ranges for coins. I did not see anything to be overly upset about.
The copyright at the bottom of his home page says "1997-2010." Who knows, it could have been updated 6 months ago, or it could have been updated 6 years ago.
I only see his offer prices and they aren't too bad. There are far worse offers out there and I do not believe he stated anywhere that those are the values of the coins?
The prices quoted look right inline for melt which is what folks should expect to get paid from any B&M coin dealer. If you want specific prices for specific coins, get em graded or go somewhere else to research prices. Good Luck getting what you think they are worth though since its a very cruel world out there.
