I have a roll of 1984 Onza's. I was offered 36.00 a piece by a local coin dealer. I would rather collect american coins. Would this be a smart move?

I'd buy them for that. What American coins are you thinking about collecting?

I have a small collection of Morgans and Mercurys. My plan is to sell any foreign currency I have and add to those collections.

Well, $36.00 seems to be near the bottom of the "sell price" on eBay, so that amount offered from a dealer isn't too bad.

If you want US coins in your collection and are buying them because you like them I would say do it. I wouldn't sell them and than buy ASE's as I don't see the point as they are both bullion coins.

BTW I love the design on the onzas.
