    Nah, I think it's under-graded, looks like a 65 to me.

EDIT: I scrolled right passed the photos, haha. Duuuuhhh :goofer:! Well, it looks like a I had the last one a grade too high. That must not be "attractive" enough toning...or is it a thin layer of dirt?

Oh, man! Oh well, guess that's why I don't work at PCGS. Wonderful coins regardless.

Merc, how in the world could the 39-D be graded lower than the 45-S??? Both the 44-D and the 39-D, I agree with you are under graded. But in a way that is a nice feeling to have the rest of the CT'ers agree with you too. Anyone would go GA-GA
    for your mercs. Congrats!

I think it goes to show you how far grading standards have slipped... the 45-S was slabbed between 11/04 and sometime in mid '05, while the '39-D was slabbed in either Oct or Nov of 1989.

It's part of the reason I jump on old slabs listed near market if the coin inside isn't overgraded.

Yep it's all about the grading standard. If you cracked it out and resubmitted it'd be higher for sure.
