I don't have anything to contribute right now RickieB because I'm pretty new to this as you know. To me this is free schooling and I'm really paying attention. Thank you all so much for sharing your expertise.
Hey Darryl, how's your golf swing? :D

I got this little beauty at an antique shop. Not bad for seven dollars.

Okay, I've been meaning to post some of my notes on here but had to deal with fallen limbs from storms last week, new car shopping, and on and on. Here are a few I have posted before and hopefully after tomorrow's car signing (banks are closed today) I can scan some more of my favorites! The 100 FRN's from Dallas are from the smallest print run of any 100 star from at least the 1970's. Greatest thing is that all my stars are pulled from circulation for face value. Enjoy!

Yep...the most recent run that was smaller was Series 1977 G..* run #7, which was 64,000 notes, printed January 1981. From the middle of Series 1977 back through Series 1963A, the standard run for $50 and $100 stars was just 64,000 notes, so there are quite a lot of runs that size.... Needless to say, not a whole lot of collectors are chasing those stars by print runs!

That's true Numbers, but for face value, it was a nice surprise. Ever since I got them they've got a nice spot in my collection. By chance, do you get your older run statistics from any internet source? I'd like to have one other than book form for quick reference when not at home.

Rickie, those are awesome silver certs, and great grades as well. I've always liked the $5 silvers, but can't find too many around here in decent shape.

See the group lists here...they get a bit lengthy when you go back a couple decades and start running into all the gap runs, but that's how they printed stars back then....
