I have picked up the 1909 VDB grading set quest.

This morning I got the highest graded coin for my set in the mail. I took my own advise and bought the highest graded (most expensive) coin towards the beginning of my collecting.

WOW - that is a beauty. Looks like it is dripping with Luster.

This coin really surprised me. This was the coin I thought I was going to have to look at 20 of them before I got the coin I wanted. I bought this coin on Teletrade so I had an inspection and return period. I really do think it's a spot on 67RD.

What is the source you used to purchase the coin? An auction house's website? It looks like the coin was professionally photographed. If you've taken that photo, you've got some serious talent. :) Very nice piece. I am loving the small yet beautiful, red-woodgrain effect near 7 o' clock on the reverse. It was a very wise decision starting with the most expensive coin. That's how I USUALLY do it, and whenever I do it the other way around I seem to run into many obstacles :(.

Beautiful coin. A gem in any collection! Good luck with the rest of your grading set.
