1981 Lincoln Cent Help

    Hello,

    I am working on putting together a modern penny set. I would like help with putting a grade on this 1981. I picked this coin for the set because the condition and nice toning.

    I am thinking XF 40 but I would like to get some better opinions.

    That ding to the left of Lincoln really ruins that coin IMO. I don't think it would even grade.

    Looks like a finger print on the obv/right. Agree with the lack of grading potential.

    The details are AU (55 or 58). I have no idea if it will grade or not. I have a coin with a scratch longer and in that area. It graded 63.

    Those bag hits would not prevent it from cleanly grading. But I doubt the Adam is interested in that.

    AU53-55 is my guess. You should be able to find a decent MS63/64 for several dollars.
