Lamination or Die Crack ? OK , I finally decided that I was going to part with this coin instead of submitting it for attribution and grading because of a carbon spot that developed on the REV. Then I discovered that this proof coin has what lookes like a Die Crack or Lamination anomaly on the OBV. It starts at about the "O" of GOD and goes past the "W" of WE. Then it continues along the rim way past the last "T" of TRUST. Does this type of anomaly add or detract from a proof coin that happens to be a DDO variety as well ?
I think the planchet problem would not increase nor decrease the value of this very cool and often sought after variety. 1970-S DDO Large Date/Small Date is desired by a lot of different collectors and having it graded and attributed would surely profit you. 1 of only 2500 if I recall the quatity produced per die numbers correctly?
