Question about woodies

    On a coin ,what does "woodie" stand for?:confused::yes::eek::smile:mad::hail::devil::rolleyes::dead-horse::cool::foot-mouth::p;):D:eek::rollling::(:):welcome::thumb:

    The term "woodie" refers to a pattern that appears on the planchets. It gives the coin a "woodgrain" look.

    You can get all kinds of patterns to the grain. Here is one I particularly like and another interesting pattern.
