I've started adding those into my collection as well as the US Territories Quarters. Anyone else find them to be absolutely gorgeous? I love the designs!
Just curious to see if anyone else has been holding onto them?

  3. I have found/saved all the Territories from change but have only seen a very few of the new ATB quarters. I do save the ones I do find though. I wish the US Mint distributed these more as I like the designs as well. :) TC

Yes, I think the ATB & State Quarters are one of the great recent success stories of the mint.

I like the designs more so than the State quarters. My beef is that you just don't see them in circulation. Sort of takes the fun away when you have to buy these from a dealer. In the past year and a half, I've only found 3 ATB quarters in circulation.

I wish I could afford the 5oz pucks. I plan on at least getting one this year, probably the glacier one.

My wife is collecting uncirculated ones and I'm collecting the silver proofs. I find them more interesting than the State quarter series also. Plus, they've gotten my wife interested in coins. Makes it more fun.:)

I really enjoy the ATB series. I do admit, I probably collect them not like most, as I have every one of the 2010 issue (sorry, ran out of batteries in my camera, otherwise I would post a pic). I'm too impatient to wait for them to appear in circulation, so I do buy them from the dealer. He charges .60 per quarter which is worth it to have my choice of the most spot/scratch free quater, 2X2'd, and labeled. I also collect a year behind, so I'll begin the 2011 series in January of 2012...sort of letting the hype die down. As for my favorite, currently in my collection I would say Mt. Hood, though Yosemite is a close second. However, I have a feeling that when Vicksburg comes out later this year it will take over the favorite spot. To liven up the thread...anyone see the candidates for 2012 yet? Check them out here! http://americabeautifulquarters.com/2012-america-the-beautiful-quarters-design-candidates/

    My personal favorites:
    PR-02
    NM-04
    ME-02
    HI-04
    AK-05

I have all US mint rolls of the ATB's as well as all of them in proof as well. I really do like the series, nuch more than the state series.

I have all of the ones from last year (P&D), but haven't seen any this year....I'm not going to buy a roll from the mint at the premium they charge, so hopefully I'll see some at some point this year....

Two good things about the ATB quarters: 1. Low Mintages and 2. Better Designs
I love them. They're more interesting and they made more natural designs

Looking at the 2012 design candidates:
    PR-02
    NM-02
    ME-04
    HI-04
    AK-05

Wow, I was really shocked to hear that a lot of you are having a hard time finding them in circulation...
In the past month I have found Mount Hood, Hot Springs and Yellowstone. As well as Guam and American Samoa.
I live in Ohio and see a lot of change at my job waitressing. Not sure if where I live would make any difference, but maybe the fact that I see a lot of coins.
Someone asked to see pictures, so I'll post those. My camera hasn't been focusing well lately and flash has been getting in the way.

That is a lot of Guams :) haha

Guam was my most recent addition. I found it just a few days ago.

I have all of the released ATB quarters right now (D and P). Got them through circulation. I only have Guam though for the territories. Those are harder to find for me then the ATB.

I got to say, my favorite ATB coin so far is Yellowstone. Idk why but I just like any coin with the American Bison on it.

I have all the 2009 territories as well. In fact, I have a complete set (both mints) of circulated Washington quarters from 1932 to the end of 2010.....so how could I stop now?

So, Fed, please send some 2011 quarters my way soon!!!

    :)

From the territories, I LOVE the Puerto Rico design. I also like Yellowstone and Yosemite and Gettysburg (though I don't have it yet).

I gave up, I have 10 rolls of lower mintage territories quarters, now the ATB quarters have even lower mintage.
