Anyone have an opinion as to why the price of this opened, and most likely searched, BU roll of 82-P Jeffs is getting the bid price that it is? eBay LINK
Likely because there were no mint sets that year and finding nice examples in circulation is kinda tough. I'd say somebody is hoping to find a high grade coin in that roll. Maybe more than one.
Seems in line to me. Bid/ask is $120 - $130. It is getting tough to find these mid 80's rolls. With the new excitement over the Jefferson change, I won't be surprised to see numbers like this more often throughout the series.
Prices are crazy right now. The value of my Jefferson nickel collection, compared to what I have invested in it, has multiplied greatly in just the past year.
