I agree it looks like a 1918. As to answer your question - yes there are ways to find the date. But I like the coin the way it looks in the picture, so I do not recommend them. You can search on nic-a-date and probably find plenty of threads - I do not recommend it.
From what I can see, it has already been nic-a-dated once. That is the only reason you can see the date.
Recent eBay purchase. It's a little beat up, but my sources (online pcgs price guide and red book) say I got a good deal, so I'm pretty happy. NGC VF20
1861/60-P Sm Date half Dime 1861/60 Half Dime w small date& maybe a DDR as it has a D/D bow & boxed H of half Dime .I sent a few photo to other Dime & half Dime Collectors & no word back yet. but it only been 24hr I sent of the same photo U are seeing. :kewl:
I bought it raw, and have been thinking about sending it in for grading. It's very flashy, much more flashy than my other Arkansas half, but I'm wondering how the two nicks on the Senator's face will affect the grade. Other than those blemishes, it's a pretty nice looking coin.
Made a trip to the flea market and got about 20 coins. Got these ones here.. As well as a 1913 t2 buffalo nickel, 1940 ww2 nazi, 1943 steal penny, german tokens and about 13 foreign coins I don't know much about yet. I'll post pictures of the ones I mentioned if you guys don't mind
I posted scans of the coin, but for some reason my scanner cannot take a good picture of an Unc silver coin. I'll try to get some digital camera photos of it.
