I was looking through some boxes of coins that I initially set aside when I received it from my dad and found a roll of Buffalo nickels. There were 4 1913 type 1's mixed in with them. Here are two of them. The strikes appear to be very strong, but I really do not know much about Buffalo nickels.
What do you think for a grade on these? They are dripping luster...

I am not so sure one of them would even grade due to a verdigris spot at 3 o'clock. But still, what would you grade the details?

Those are both great looking buffs. Strike appears hammered for a type 1 which can be a little mushy. If the luster is unbroken on the cheek and above the knot I could see both holdered as 65's. I think a little bath could fix that spot up as well.

Thanks for the input Kevo. I agree with you. I was hoping they could push into 66 territory.
