I am selling my silver collection on ebay and I was wondering if 1900 is a good amount to ask for? the coins are approximatly 45 ounces of silver weight and I am asking 1900

If this is not a reasonable price what should I lower it to?
Please keep in mind some of the coins have numismatic value by the way so telling me that I am selling silver at 40 dollars an ounce and I am a rip off will not help me

    You're selling silver at $40 an ounce and are a rip-off. :p

Seriously, though, you shouldn't be posting ads outside the advertising section.

Edit: As I told you the first time you posted this, you can't expect over spot on eBay for a lot. You're best off listing it at spot (or, better yet, below), and letting the auction environment drive the price.

Is it 45 OZ for the weight of the coins or pure silver content ?

If this were a fair price, it would have sold the previous three times you listed it.
Edit: And, again, you shouldn't be posting outside the advertising section. The forum administrators designed that section specifically for auction listings. Use it.

It did not sell due to poor organization and lack of display of the coins. I believe the price is justifiable but am looking for further opinions on the matter. I guess its fair to assume most of my coins arent "2 dollars over spot" are they Korea

For me it´s not the question of being fair. It´s the question will it sell. My oppinion it will not sell for that price. You are basing the price on grading you did and as grading is so subjective I cant see why people would buy this. But hey you never know it´s ebay..........

Silver has and always will sell below and above on ebay, There is no ebay magic that makes silver always sell for more then spot. There is nothing in your listing that screams GOOD DEAL

I have sold many silver lots on ebay and I have had sucess and horror. That´s the nature of ebay......

I think the problem with the listing is because you are using stock photos " I´m not even sure if you can use that on ebay " and the first photo you use shows alot of coins that are .500 silver.

Sorry Siggi each coin there is .900 silver or better with the exception of the german 10 mark coins which are .800 , and the two mexican coins which are .500 and .720

If some of these coins should be selling for "way more than spot", then you should list them individually (no reserve) and let the market determine what is a fair price. If they sell for more, fine! If they sell for less, then you should adjust your price on the remainder accordingly.

Right off the bat you are wrong, The sweden coins are 0.400 silver and UK coins are .500 silver so your calculations are off.

You can list it for $1,900. Whether anyone buys it at that price is another matter.

List it as a pure auction with no reserve, take crisp accurate photos of the lot, and let'er rip!

You'll likely get more than $1,575.00, which is current melt value of your lot. That's much better than getting nothin'. Which is what you're gonna get on that lot the way it's currently listed.
