According to Coin World (March 2011): 1895-S EF-40 $1,250 AU-50 $2,200 Redbook values are a little lower - 1,100 and 1,900 respectively.
Looks to me to be 35/40. I don't see it as a 45. Value? Eye appeal counts and I'm not sure I'd make that call from these photos. The scratch across the cheek may be a problem. And cleaning is always a worry. This is a coin that will be worth a lot more in a graded holder from PCGS or NGC. If you're thinking of selling it you will get much less if it is raw. Lance.
