Very nice! I love it when people post their collection. Helps newbies like me to see what all is out there. Since joining this form, my wish list has grown out of control and is still growing. Nice additions proud papa!
Finally got her in hand , and very happy , looks just like the pics , no suprises . But I will trade you even steven for your Spanish Trails . LOL Rusty
I know what you mean , when I got here I was strictly US Type coins and early commemeratives , Now it's Bust halves , Trade Dollars and now Tokens Cival War Store cards , Patriotics and scrip with the occassional Military Payment Certificates . Gotta win the lotto or something . Rusty
Got this one today at a local show. Something to be said for commems that reside on the edge of "Unc." This one possess some character.
Lots of luster their , got my Booker T out of the junk silver dollar box MS-61 and it earned every scratch on it , would rather have yours .
Rusty, I'd grade my "Booker" at an Au-55/58. Seems there's a bit of wear on the old fellows' cheek. At least that's what I'm determining. Sorry, I'm watching PBS tonite. But hey, they're more liberal, Right? Not liberal on the grade though.....
Young guy, probably only a couple years younger than me... I'm 24. He actually looked at the walking liberty pretty close before handing it over, interestingly enough.
With a lot of classic commemoratives, there's not a whole lot of price difference between say, MS-62 and MS-63, so it often wouldn't be worth it to crack a 62 out of a case and resubmit it as a possible 63. Sometimes, there's not even much price difference between a 63 and a 64. For example, I have a San Diego commemorative in an old PCGS MS-64 case. It looks like it could go 65. But the Coin Values difference is only $30, so there's no sense in paying $35 to see if it would make it to a 65.
Gotta ask youself Collector1966 ("Aftershock"), do I really want to crack out that ole "rattler"? Personally, i just leave things be........
But then you get those where in 64 they're $350 ad in 65 they jump to $1000 , I think Kens right there's a reason most of those coins are still in their old rattler holders . Unless some guy bought it way back and it's just coming back on the market . I wouldn't pay 1 cent extra because they're in an OGH .
