it is a friends and he asked me to find out for him. I told him I need the coin here! I'll let him see this and hopefully he'll bring it and I'll scan it. Then i 'll sent you a picture. Is there a price range for those Quarters?

It has about $6.34 in silver in it. Sorry, no key date. Oh, and you don't have to post the same thread twice.
It is highly dependent upon condition and if there is any special variety. At minimum, it's worth its silver melt value of $6.34. But, if it is nicely uncirculated for a good variety...it could be worth more. The only variety I know of...if it's a Philly coin is a Type B reverse.
Check the reverse of the coin, below the eagle, and see if there is a letter. I believe it can only have a blank spot, or a 'D' in 57. If it is blank, it was minted (made) in Philidelphia, if it has a 'D', it was minted in Denver. If the coin has any marks or wear, it is pretty much worth melt. If it is 'gem', it could be as high as 15-20 bux. If it is in a graded slab, from a reputable grading company, it could bring more, depending on exact grade attributed to it on the slab label.
