I wish I could use my camera to pick up the toning, but the scans show it better actually. Slight doubling on the obverse, which I like. This thing is a toning beast! Scans don't do it justice but they're better than the sellers pictures. stainless
Nice, glad its toned and not grease as expected. Sev. A must get around because he delivered himself to me too. Editing my own pics now....one high relief M.F. mine is

It really is the best Sev. A example I've owned. Maybe not the best condition, but it's beautiful overall..let's see if I can beat it with another one in four days (mat knows what I'm talking about ;D ). Yes mat, show yours. I Hope the porousity isn't bad in hand. From the pics you showed me I would guess it's barely noticeable. stainles
I don't know if it is just me, but I can't seem to view the picture, and when I click your 'Ancient Coins' link in your signature, I can see only three coins, none of S. Alexander. Could be my computer or internet...
Okay, I see it now stainless nice toning indeed. I always liked that PAX reverse as well. Odd that CT seems to have something happpen to your photos, maybe since you link or url to them, as opposed to uploading them through the CT uploading thing.... I don't know. I still only have Sesterces of Severus Alexander, but plan on getting a denarii or two one of these days, perhaps a PAX reverse..... or a nice MARS ULTOR to go with my Sesterius, I always liked that reverse.... but there are alot of cool ones out there. Nice addition to your collection!
Actually, this coin is in my CT album. That's how I upload all the coins I post on here because it gives me the image code. Glad you guys like it , thanks. stanless
