Hi all! Personally, I much enjoy Lincolns, however because I've found dimes in my rolls of pennies here and there, every now and then I'll ask for one roll of dimes when I go to the bank, just because...truth, I like dimes too. So, I would lik e to share with you my finds to see what some of you dime experts think. Now I know I may not have anything spactacular, in fact one or two ar e ugly...but I want to see what you think. I'm not familiar with dime but here goes. So, I'll start with my two nice ones and go from there.
the '62 you show is 90% silver and the '86 is cop/nick. Which is why you see part of the copper rim on the '86 and a silver rim on the '62. stainless
I can't be much help to you here, most of the pics are too out of focus to be certain of anything. From what I can tell, most look like common damage or worn die issues. I don't see a second torch. I can't tell if the "P" is doubled or not in post #4, it could be something (poss. RPM?), but not any real value there anyway though. Post #5's pics look like the dies were set a bit deep, and spread (stressed) the metal a bit more than it should for a clean look, but those are very common on dimes. But I'm not an expert, so my opinion may be wrong.
