ATB 5 OZ Yellowstone T minus 5 minutes. Whose in?

Anyone going to be ordering this one from the mint today? I wish they could have lowered the price, but they probably paid a high price for the silver to make these with.

I'm guessing you are referring to the Yellowstone coin (not Hot Springs). I am attempting to buy the Yellowstone coin, but the US mint website appears to be functioning very slowly...

Yeah, it is very slow for me as well. The circle just keeps spinning...

Edit: Yeah, I meant Yellowstone, not Hot Springs.

I just ordered mine. I had two phones going and the website. The website worked just fine. The phones were busy.

I was able to place my order. It took about 20 minutes to get through all the checkout screens.

Took me about 20 minutes as well. I had one blip, but after I refreshed it was all good. 374809XX here. Did the mint ever confirm Hot Springs selling out?

I had issues trying to order this. Something was bugged with my login on their website. I ended up having to switch computers to order. My order status says "backordered". Does that mean I was too late or do all the orders say that because this coin hasn't started shipping? Oh and BTW it looks like you can order hot springs again. I placed an order a few days ago and its shipping now. Strange!

Backorderd is the standard status of thee coins until they start shipping out.

I was able to get through and purchase one coin at approximately 11:55. If you're curious, my order number was 374860xx. The lowest number I have seen is 374783xx. This represents roughly 7700 orders placed since 11 am. I think it is fair to assume that the majority of these are Yellowstone 5 ounce purchases.

I ordered mine at 5:30 PM. It was quick by then. I have my second hockey puck; I think.

what are the chances of pulling a Hot Springs out of the bag

At the last minute I decided to order a Hot Springs 5oz at the same time I ordered the Yellowstone 5oz early afternoon on the 17th. Furthermore, they were still posted as being available. They both are listed as back-ordered.

  14. Hot Springs has now officially sold out. Maybe you got your order in just in time. I hope you get both. TC

TopcatCoin do you think these 5oz's will amount to anything or are they like the first spouse gold coins (just something else the mint can sell)?

  18. I wish I knew. I do not believe that the Mint is obligated to produce the collector's version, so if they stop making them after the 2010s are done these will skyrocket in value. TC

I'm not sure what is going on but APMEX is now selling the 2011 hockey pucks for about $215/each while the mint is selling the 2010's for $280. The mint's sold version is now selling for $325 but the prices on APMEX may be suggesting the real value of these coins in the near future. I'm betting that the value is heading south.
