yea its really tough sometimes. ive got some morgans that never come out right. you either cant get a image that shows off luster or color. i used to want a DSLR but i dont think it would of changed alot since i dont have a place meant for taking images.
Awesome professional photographs! How do you get photographs of the obverse and reverse next to each other? You have a pretty good camera for $100. I spent 3 times that amount on a digital camera and my coin photographs don't even come close!
Awesome photographs, very professional looking. How do you get the obverse and reverse of the coins next to each other in the photograph? I spent 3 times that amount you did on your camera, but my coin photographs don't even come close. What is your secret?
Proofs with toning inside a plastic case is the devil. These normally require multiple photographs to show all the features of the coin.
gbroke, very nice photos, have you tried to diffuse the center overhead light, I think diffusing the overhead would bring out the edges of the coins. just my 2cents DE
I tried a couple proofs, one with color. Having some difficulties, to say the least. Never give up, never surrender. I need to try out some brown copper too.
Your image turned out nice. I definitely need to try and actually take some images using natural light. If the sun ever shines again here in Detroit.
Your photos are great. I wish I could take photos like that. I've made some improvements over the last year since I became a CoinTalk member, but I can't approach the quality in those photos. Nice job.
Great pictures and all with an inexpensive camera. Thanks for sharing the info as it has inspired me to give it a shot with my "inexpensive" camera too.
