ugly old buffalo i got in change

    whats the date? 1915? appears to be a denver. and what in the heck makes it that color i have a couple i have found over the years that have this color

    Looks to me like it might be a 1916-D, the color is probably from it being buried for a long time and then dug up.

    That is for sure a 1913-D Type I. Look at the mound. Nice find in change!

    Definitely a dug coin. Very porous and nickels turn that color in the ground.

    dug up nickel !!!
    1913 D Variety 1 because of the buffalo on the mound

    nice find !!!!!!
