I found one 2 days ago while searching through change, anyone know how much it would be worth? There was only 866,000 minted.

That is assuming it is not damaged. Get a camera! Use your phone, I'm sure it has a camera!

I agree. It is a great find. However, there is no way to judge it's value without a photo. If you could post one, we could give you more information.

It sounds like someone's kids got into something they shouldn't have. Nice find!

I have found 2 of them, but that was 50+ years ago

What do you mean by "It sounds like someone's kids got into something they shouldn't have" Lol

I think he meant, a kid got into their dads stash and decided to spend it. Thats how it ended up in circulation. On that note, my wife was doing laundry and checked my kids pocket. There was a 1907 IHC in there. grrrrrrrrr

I assure you that there are now and have been none left in circulation (since 1931) for many years now. The only way they can get back into circulation would be for some one to put them there either by accident or on purpose.

Is there a chance it could be fake?

Yeah, there is... I doubt many fakes would be floating out there in change, though... but ya never know until we see some pics... ;)

There is a chance any key or semi key date coin can be fake.

Awesome find if it's authentic! There's a ton of fakes out there so don't get too excited.
