Hi there everyone, Hope all you moms out there had a great mothers day, hope everyone did! Well, today I was looking for some funny coins to share on another thread somone put out. And as I was going through them,I found this 2006. Someone on the forum told me to keep an eye out for it a little while ago, but somehow I thought to myself I had found it already but just needed to look for it. So, after running into it again IMG_0490.jpg & really giving it a good lookover. I went into LincolnCentResource but it did not provide information on what I was seeing. I went into Coppe IMG_0481.jpg rcoins.com and I think I found it. Only, Im torn between 2006P-DDO-001, 5,6,8. Yet Im really thinking its the 001 because all the notches seem IMG_0482.jpg to be there on the NW in the letters of LIBERTY. Please have a looksee & share with me your expertise on this. Do appreciate it! Click on the IMG_0471.jpg pic 2x and 2 pics will pop up 1 of the 2 is a better pic. I took plenty of pics from different angles in hopes it would help some. Thank you! All I see is the B looks like it took a hit from something.

    Probably from crimping.

...I see no differences that point to it being a DDO, although the photos are rather low quality so I may be incorrect. Inhance the quality and I will be able to make a better diagnoses. :)

I have been setting some of my 2006 pennies aside, as I see some of the same things you are writing about. Since I don't know much yet, I figure it is worth saving a "few cents" just in case someday we get some clear shots of what we are talking about. Statistically, I don't a great track record, but it can only improve with time. If they were silver dollars, I might not keep them, but since they are pennies, what the heck.

I know I see something there too, need to get a really good macrolens camera. Or one of them camera devices some here in the forum use. But in the meantime I'll do what your doing I guess and put them aside & save them for a better pic with a better camera.

    Hello Jello
Yes, I've been to and really like this site and coppercoin.com. I've made it a point to remember to go there before I post the questions to the forum. But dang this 2006 bugs me as it truly is difficult to take a good picture and have you see what I see. I decided to rest and set this one aside and have a looksee at another time. I also do realize I need a better micro lens. My 10x doesnt cut it anymore really. I bought it last year at the Boston coin show. Anywhooo, I need to get up to par with my equipment/camera. Might try selling a coin or two to get things going around here. But they're hard to let go. Cant get to the point of letting go! LOL!
