Fed Boxes of halves are absolutely brutal now. Each week since March the totals haved gone down from an average of 5 per box to this week getting ZERO SILVER. Everybody and their Grandma must be ordering boxes. Some idiots are ordering 6-8 boxes at each bank and now they want to charge a fee. Staying under the radar at 2-3 boxes at each bank and having mutiple banks worked well until these meatheads blew it. I am down to 5-6 banks that will order w/o a fee.

    In a box of pennies, I find almost a full roll of 68 - 74 S mints.

I'm traveling to the east coast pretty soon and I plan to take a whole bunch of denver mint's and drop them off somewhere. :)

I went out on my lunch yesterday and hit every bank in town, a total of 5. I got two halves only, 1991 & 1997, nothing. Between me and someone who "came through town and bougth them all up" there is now not a half to be found. I guess I will have to ask about getting a box ordered, here in the NE I hear things are very dry? Any comments. I guess I will be forced to hunt Dimes and Nickles. I see alot of pre 64 nickles, should i save those? A couple town over they have a bunch, I searched $70 worth and it must have been someones dump, several were marked on the ear? I was foolish enough not to ask if they had any others that had a diffent wrapper or "old ones" so I'll have to go back and see what they have.

Pocket change - one 1963 Jefferson AU very small scratch in field on obverse. Nice coin and sure beats the one in my folder now.

I'm in DC. Please bring me some boxes of 2011 D dimes! I've gotten 6 boxes of 2011 P dimes and I'm sick of them.

    Two boxes of halves:

    Box 1: 2 40%ers
    Box 2: skunk

Then, turning in some haves at the bank coin counter I found a 1943 d Steelie!!!!!!!!!!! I've never found one of these. :D

Searched $10 nickles on my lunch break, no silver but I found a 1941. Anyone have any suggestions on what to keep for Nickles?

Keep the silvers, 1950-D's, and anything pre-war.

I was actually taking change to a coin machine for someone (since it's free at my bank). I went through it all quickly (well, as quick as I could) and found the 2 silver dimes. There was approx $540 in change.

Ended up with only 3 wheats, but one was an AU/BU 1945P that has a reddish oxidized tone to it. About 30% copper (what I have been averaging). Also pulled a 1986P that is prob MS64 with a cool yellowish/orange tone to it. Maybe from a mint set?

Whats with the '80s OBV dies? Man do those coins look odd compared to all the rest of the year ranges. Looks like corroded and over-polished dies, weak strikes, etc. Just poorly made coins.

I took my dad to the airport today decided to swing by a few banks that I havn't ventured into yet. One bank had 4 rolls of halves that I got. I dropped one roll at the counter and out popped all silver halves onto the floor. That was exciting! One more of the rolls was almost all silver, the other two were skunks. I got 38 %40'silver halves in all :)

There is a guy locally by me that has 1000 Ikes for sale for $1025. At first I was like "whoa yeah!". Then I wondered what I would do with $1000 in Ikes...and so I didn't get them. Other than BU/UNC Ikes, and the silver proofs, is there really any value in holding them? Or is it more of a sock them away for later type of a thing?

Went through 4 boxes of halves today. Netted 33 40% and one 90% Kennedy. Not too shabby :)
